Our wonderful little Alexander turned three years old yesterday! We woke him up early, and he came out of his room to see a bunch of presents, balloons, and a birthday banner displayed on our kitchen table. He made this face without prompting from us.
Cute little booger. :) He immediately grabbed a yellow balloon and said "Oh! Yellow, my favorite!"
He enjoyed playing with his new toys all day, and then we had a special dinner of chicken nuggets (Alex's request). Hooray! :) Then we went to see Toy Story 3, which he loved even though it definitely scared him at some points!
I attempted to make him a Buzz Lightyear cake using buttercream transfer, but it failed dismally. It actually looked ok for my first try, I think, but I could not for the life of me get the image to come off of the wax paper and adhere to the cake. It basically made a huge mess. So I scraped it off and just wrote "Happy Birthday Alex" instead. Oh well. I guess we'll just try again next year!
