It's a boy!!!

This morning we went in for the ultrasound, and here are the results. Please enjoy our handsome young man's newest pictures! :)

If you can't tell, this is the profile. The head is on the right, and you can see his nose and everything pointing up toward the top left corner of the screen.

Here's his face. He's just as cute as his daddy!

This is one of my favorites, baby's foot and hand. Awww!

And in case you don't believe us about the boy thing, here's the proof. As the ultrasound technician said, "Here's the legs, and here's the between-the-legs." (The between-the-legs is on the right in the middle, for those of you who can't tell). We are so excited for our sweet little boy! July seems a long time away.... :)

We'll laugh at this someday.

I had another pregnancy forgetfulness moment that led to disastrous results.

That's right, guess who left a large plastic mixing bowl in the oven while preheating it? "Why was the bowl there in the first place?" you may ask. Because I was in a hurry while cleaning my house before company came over, and I didn't have time to wash it, of course! The oven is a perfectly logical hiding place! :) That'll teach me to try to impress people with how domestic I am.

Here we see how the two oven racks were stuck together. The Josh was not pleased with the mess, nor the acrylic smell in our house, but he got over my little mishap tolerably well. Personally, I think it's because I gave him an opportunity to be Mr. Fix-It. He has already spent several hours of delight scraping off plastic with his trusty Leatherman. :)

halfway there...

We made it to twenty weeks! Baby's about 10 inches long and looks something like this.

Baby is having a good time kicking me awake in the mornings. I imagine he/she is thinking "Yo! Time for more orange juice! The ten cups you had yesterday are wearing off!" (FYI: I crave any kind of citrus fruit like there's no tomorrow). It's gotten to the point where Josh can feel the movements too, so that's lots of fun for both of us.

I hope these next twenty weeks go faster than the first twenty did. Let's get me out of school and baby out of me! :)

It's been fun in pregnant life lately. :) This last weekend, my darling mother came up and took me shopping for some desperately-needed maternity clothes. Bless that woman! We had a good time cruising the mall and being hot mamas. :)

This is me modeling one of my new outfits and my expanding poof. I had a stranger ask me about my pregnancy for the first time today too! The clerk at the grocery store asked me if I was having a boy or a girl (two weeks until we find out, by the way). It made me so happy to know that my growing belly is not just my overactive imagination at work. Hooray!

Pregnancy makes you forget what y....

Lately I have been experiencing one of the more entertaining aspects of pregnancy. At least, I hope it's because I'm pregnant. And if it's not, I'm blaming it on that anyway. :) On Wednesday night, I carpooled to Enrichment with my neighbor, Marseille. We decided I should drive. In the middle of the activity, someone came up and told me that Marseille had to leave early. I started thinking, "Darn it! Now I have to find a new ride." When Enrichment was over, I walked outside, right past my car, and started home. I didn't really feel like asking for a ride, and it wasn't too far anyway. Another sister stopped and offered me a ride pretty quickly, too. So I continued on, blissfully unaware of how silly I was. A few hours later, I suddenly remembered that the car was parked at the Church. Luckily, I have a wonderful husband who was willing to walk over there with me at 11:00 at night to pick it up. And who still loves me even though I forget things so much lately. :)
