Welcome to the world, Davin!

This morning my brother and his wife had their fifth baby, a little boy whom they named Davin Dennis Larson (Dennis after my dad). They were so excited to finally have a boy after their four little girls! (Not that they can really complain, since their girls are just about the cutest, sweetest things you ever saw!) We don't have pictures of our new little nephew yet, but here are all of his sisters so you can imagine how handsome he is. Congratulations Darin and Amber!

Tickles

Alex is just like me: when tickled, he doesn't laugh, he SCREAMS!!! (Especially when the perpetrator of said tickling is Josh. That man is purely evil when it comes to this. He can make me squirm just by looking at a ticklish spot. Shudder.)

I Am Legend

Okay, so on Friday night Josh and I got sitters for Alex (thanks Ben and Beth!) and went out on a hot date. Josh really wanted to see this new movie, "I Am Legend" and convinced me that it wouldn't be too horrible. I hate horror movies but kind of like suspenseful ones, so I figured it would probably be okay. I was wrong.
Dun-dun-dun!

Holy freaky movie! It was really interesting but sooo intense that I was shaking when we came out. We actually left about halfway through because we just couldn't handle it anymore. And it was actually Josh, not me, who suggested that we leave! He had read a synopsis of the story on wikipedia, so he filled me in on the details of the rest of the movie and that was good enough for me. Perhaps we'll watch it in broad daylight in the comfort of our home when it comes out on DVD. We were so freaked out that we had to go comfort ourselves with Wendy's dollar menu. :)

Maybe we are just really wussy or something, but dang! I prefer the sort of vampires in Twilight, thank you very much!

Too Cute Not to Post

I love my boys!

Happy 2008!

We decided that we just wanted to stay in and hang out with each other this New Year's Eve.

I made us some yummy calzones.


Josh played around on his computer for a bit.


And Alex chose to reorganize our DVD collection.

After that, we put little man to bed. He went down without the slightest fuss about not getting to stay up until midnight! :) Then we had some root beer floats and watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which we had not seen yet. We actually liked it pretty well--at least it wasn't as bad as the other four movies. When it was over, we still had quite a bit of time until midnight, so we played tennis, baseball, and golf, and then bowled for a bit (the joys of the Wii)! Midnight came, kisses were given, and then we pretty much collapsed into bed. Midnight is way too late for old people like us.
